Mengenaskan mang IT itu. Nama juga teknologi, makin lama makin murah dan bnyk pesaing. contoh: Hp, PdA, PHP, jsp, VcD, DVD Video, dll..
Bagi teman2 IT, ayolah qt upgrade teknologinya. Entah itu ikut perusahaan kek, ato usaha jasa IT sendiri..
Sya sendiri jg pusing…. tau ah. Semangat!!!!!!!!!!

I’m creative director. Worked my ass off from a lowly designer, so i know every little thing about the skills and requirements to make it as a good designer. I’ve worked as a web designer, web developer, digital artist, art director, you name it i’ve done it. And i have a lot of knowledge across different fields, online, print, magazine and advertising. And now i have the task of finding myself a really good designer (and a web designer). And from all of the above experiences, i find it really (i mean really) hard to find really good designers. I have high expectations because i’m capable of doing that myself, but sometimes, you have to be able to delegate some of the responsibilities. And i found myself dissapointed with the quality that they produce, they’re all amateurish at best. So, i’d be more than happy to pay someone a salary of 10 million a month as a web designer if he can produce the kind of output that would justify that much amount of money (i’ve worked in singapore, and the crap that they produce for SGD 2000 a month, lets just say, horrid). Because, first and foremost, a web designer is at the core, a designer. That requires, skill, craft, and this is the stuff that most of them lack, . . . taste!

Again, since i value design highly, i would rather pay the premium salary if that means a peaceful mind. And like any job in the world, your salary depends a lot in your negotiation skills and your ability to present yourself in the best light (portfolio, professionalism, work ethics, and glowing references).
I got paid 6 million when i was a web designer. And that was 8 years ago. Without any degree or diploma.

And oh yeah, the ability to speak english, really makes the difference. Who’d send you to a design conference in NYC if you can’t speak the language.
So, my 2 cents is, know your strength and weaknesses, develop a good taste and sense of design, keep in touch with the current technology and their implementations, build up portfolio. And if after all that the company still refuse to increase your salary and you feel that you earn peanuts, ditch that no good company and start looking for something better. Or since your portfolio’s good now, go freelance or become a subcontractor for a company abroad, let say singapore since they’re the closest, you could get SGD 500-2000 for each project. Cause if you’re good, they’ll pay. I would.

menurut kalian semua, seorang freelance yang telah lama berkecimpung didalam dunia pemrograman website php, mysql, javascript (jquery, extjs, interface, etc), dan ingin bekerja dengan perusahaan, berapakah standard gaji pertama yang didapat khusus nya wilayah tangerang dan jakarta ??

Btw gue sendiri ampir setaon jd web interface designer (ga ngurusin coding), gaji gue 3 jetian lebih dikit, taun ini naiknya cuma dikasih 10%, krn company kena crisis… ya wajar deh :( Masih untung ga didepak.

Gue bs savings lumayan banyak tiap tahun krn masih tinggal bareng bonyok dan sesekali jd freelancer. Kalo ga ada bonyok ya… susah dah.

Tergantung, kalo company-nya bener2 membutuhkan elo sebagai web designer, dapet banyak keuntungan yang nyata dari elo dan mereka melihat skill elo memang “layak” digaji diatas rata-rata, sama sekali ga heran bisa dapet gaji 4-6 jt untuk pengalaman 2 tahun.

Tapi gue ga yakin gaji web designers bisa go so far kalo kerja terus jadi bawahan orang.

Enakan jadi freelancers, kalo udah punya network dan merasa ‘jagoan’ :)

Wah…ngomong2 soal Gaji. Sy jg lagi cari programmer freelance web design dan php & mysql database.

Kebetulan sy bergerak di bidang full penjualan via internet marketing. Dan pasarnya sangat besar di dunia internet.

Dari pengalaman sih, agar bisa meyakinkan kita harus tunjukkin tuh hasil kerjanya langsung dan klo bisa sdh di hosting.

Semua akan kembali ke kemampuan(skill)nya, klo memang skillnya OK dan bisa memberikan distrubusi kepada perusahaan. Gaji itu akan mengikuti sesuai standard yang kita mau.

Intinya profesional, skill, integritas dalam bekerja dan niat untuk maju tinggi.

wah kelly service mah berlebihan. temen gw web designer perusahaan di salah satu gedung sudirman cuman 3 juta dengan pengalaman 2 thn. 4-6 juta dari hongkong. setau gw pekerja web design di indo mana ada yg gede? indo mah nggak menghargai design, org taunya template dan web development aja. klo mau gede ya kerjain sendiri langsung client.

disini bisa donlot survey gaji pegawai arsitek thn 2008 di Asia Pasifik.
Tenang aja… di survey ini ga ada data tentang pegawai arsitek di Indonesia.
MacDonald nya jg ga mau ada data dari Indonesia, khawatir mempermalukan profesi arsitek. :))
Cuma untuk perbandingan dengan negara lain di regional yang sama saja.

Sorry pendapat lo salah tuhh dan survey lo rada ngaco kali
gaji gue sekarang 7.500.000,- udah bersih
lengap dapet macem2 tunjangan juga complate beberapa temen gue juga sama tuh
Mungkin perlu meningkat kan pengalaman aja kaleee… atau harus lebih meningkatkan kwalitas
Ingat kualitas ada yang warteg sama mac donal.
saran gue lo harus punya kekuatan nego.
kalau bicara di luar sih sama aja. malah dapet bonus pekerjaan yang makin padetttt…

Jd web designer hanya sebatas desain web itu sendiri lalu di serahkan ke programmer untuk coding HTMLnya…
